But throughout all the craziness, two of the top highlights have definitely been attending the Wish Upon a Wedding DC launch party, along with the wedding-planning classes I’m taking through the local college system.
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a hundred times. I love the mission of Wish Upon a Wedding, and it’s a true honor to serve on the board of such a fantastic group. Now that we’ve officially launched, our chapter is hard at work planning a dream wedding for wish recipients Erwin and Ed, an inspiring couple who truly embrace the notion of living in the moment.
Here, a few fun photos of the event as it unfolded, including shots of the décor, yummy treats, and board members.
In other news, my first round of wedding-planning classes, focused on ceremony and reception coordination, was fun and useful! More than anything, I’ve come out feeling very confident in what I know, much of it learned before I even began the classes, and in how much I can offer.
More updates are on the way soon! Are you having as busy a summer as I am?

Congrats on working for this great cause, and on taking steps to explore a new potential career path that interests you! My summer has been busy with travel and wedding planning. I'm looking forward to next summer, when things will (hopefully) be a bit more relaxed!
