Framing Our Guests…Or At Least Their Messages

As a couple just starting to truly dress up our home with artwork and other splashes of personalization, Stephen and I knew all along that a signature frame would be the perfect guestbook alternative.

Featuring one of the engagement photos my sister snapped, plus wine-themed stickers we snagged at Michaels, our guests’ kind words – written in purple ink, of course! – are the perfect reminder of how happy they were to share our day.

What type of guestbook will you use at your wedding? Did you have a hard time making a decision, or did you know all along what the best choice would be?

  1. Love the photo mat guestbook idea! Yours looks very full of signatures - I was worried that with 400 guests, there wouldn't be enough room for everyone to sign. Your sister did such a great job on your engagement photos, too!

  2. We did this too! We had two of them and one of the frames broke after the wedding... we just hung the other one on Sunday!
    LOVE looking at them!

  4. My mother used this when she re-married and it looks really nice in their home. We used something similar, but it's a tree. I had purchased a family tree frame years ago and have had it in my attic ever since. I ordered leaf shapes from an etsy seller and people signed those and then pinned their leaf to our new family tree.

  7. It looks so great! We were going to do something exactly like that. I had the mat and the engagement picture picked out and everything.

And then I forgot to take it on the trip with us. Epic fail.

  9. Such a lovely thing to have hanging in your home.

I stamped questions for our guests to fill in inside a plain book and then left spaces for pictures which our ushers took at the reception.
