Accessorizing The Bride, For A Little Or A Lot

While the bride’s gown always steals the show, it’s her accessories that truly help pull the entire look together. On my wedding day, I adored each and every one of mine, from my $10 faux-pearl earrings to my nearly $300 crystal tiara.

Shoes…$25 at Payless

Tiara…$275 at The Bridal Collection salon

Earrings…$10 at Target

Veil…$75 at David’s Bridal

Irish-Themed Garter…$30 from Garters by Kristi

Feeling bridal and beautiful on my wedding day? Absolutely priceless.

LESSON LEARNED: Gorgeous wedding day accessories come in all shapes and sizes, and at all price points. A pair of earrings that costs just $5 can be every bit as beautiful and fitting for the right bride as those that cost $500 or more. At the same time, splurging on an item or two you truly love can be well worth the extra money. As with all other things wedding-related, what matters is staying true to your budget and to yourself.

What types of wedding day accessories did you or will you wear?

  1. I had the amazing garter from Julianne Smith, a custom made cathedral veil for beyond reasonable (less than 100), a beautiful hair flower accesory and a bracelet and earrings my mom made me... oh and of course, my fabulous sash/belt thingie... You are right... a splurge is nice, but also saving money can happen if you go that route!

  2. All of your accessories are beautiful! I can't believe your earrings were only $5! Such a great find, and they look really nice. My accessories splurges were my shoes and my corset bra, which I had to custom order from London and then have altered here to make it lower in the back and add clear straps. It was a necessary accessory that no one else could appreciate, but it was worth it!

  3. I totally agree with you that you can be frugal in these areas! I used an extra ($25) bridesmaid's dress for my sash, found $15 shoes at payless (using the BOGO deal for my husband's wedding shoes), my father gifted me my wedding pearls, and my bridesmaids gifted me my garter! (Not to mention my $130 dress...)

I believe that a wedding is not about how much you spend but it is truly about the love you share with your spouse, family and friends!

  4. My earrings were only $10 and I loved them! I also wore my grandmothers engagement ring. I don't know what my veil cost b/c my mother paid for it and I borrowed an ECU garter from a college friend. And my shoes were around $80. So all in all I think I did okay.

  5. My accesories were my favorite part!!! My pearl earrings were my something borrowed, and my mom bought me a gorgeous pearl necklace!

I think the thing I treasured most was my veil from Davids Bridal!!

By the way thank you so much yesterday for your sweet comment! I just love the people I have met through blogging.

    Have a lovely day!!!

  8. Your accessories were so pretty! My biggest splurge was my bolero but I absolutely loved it so the cost was worth it. Everything else (earrings, veil, shoes, garter) was reasonably priced.

  9. I plan on wearing a flower in my hair, pearl earrings and either a pearl necklace or pearl bracelet. I still have to pick out my shoes!!

  10. Love all these beautiful photos of you and your accessories. I found the perfect pearl necklace and the rest followed from there, simple pearl earrings and a head piece from claires. The hardest part was finding my shoes!
