But what about crying at my own wedding? Would I be "once a crier, always a crier," or would things be different? Going into the day, I had no doubt that I would be a complete basket case. In fact, in full preparation for the waterworks, I even planned to have a special handkerchief on hand throughout the ceremony, and also made sure my maid of honor was well-stocked with a couple small packs of Kleenex.
Well, guess what? Each of these things went entirely unused! Now, that's not to say I didn't cry at all, or at least tear up, because I did. The first time was while walking down the aisle, and the second was while watching a special slideshow one of my bridesmaid's had created for the reception.
But for the most part, I guess I was just far too anxious and excited to even think about crying!
Did you cry a lot throughout your wedding day, or do you think you will? Are you usually a crier at others' weddings?

Nope, I didn't cry either! And I am such a cry baby! lol
ReplyDeleteWell other than wanting to cry when it started raining I only teared up right before walking down the aisle. Other than that I was fine. My husband on the other hand almost lost it when I walked down the aisle and throughout the ceremony he was very teary. It was cute.
ReplyDeleteI was the same as you! I thought I'd cry, but I was so excited and nervous that it didn't happen. Now, the week before the wedding while stalking the forecast was a different story - I don't think I've ever cried so much in my whole life!
ReplyDeleteI am certainly a crier.... it was hard to get my vows out haha
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I alllways cry at weddings, but I have a feeling I will not cry at my wedding because I know I'm just going to be so busy and focused and overwhelmed...I'll prob. cry a lot AFTER the wedding looking over all the pictures and video, once it all sinks in. Did you cry after it looking back on the day at all?
ReplyDeletei'm a crier, but kept composed during my wedding. i've cried at other weddings though.
ReplyDeleteGood point, Laura! I did cry when looking back at the video. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really worried that I'm going to cry off and on our entire wedding day. I cry at almost anything - cards, commercials, etc. Hopefully I'll have a similar experience and be too anxious and excited to cry (too much).
ReplyDeleteI think I am going to cry on my wedding. my wedding is on this coming January. I am a very emotional girl, and I know that no one can stop me from shedding my tears of joy.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteAnd nope, not a crier.
I'm usually really emotional and I expected to try a lot at the wedding. I did get teary walking down the aisle, and then again when my husband said his vows and I said mine. But I didn't break down as much as I anticipated!
ReplyDeletehaha, I don't think i cried either!
ReplyDeletei was just talking to a friend of mine about this topic. Im not a crier for the most part and i kinda always felt guilty about that lol
