Choosing the right photographer for your wedding day may be one of the most important decisions you'll make. Of course, everyone wants quality photos capturing the big day, but finding affordable talent is only one part of choosing the right photographer. The other part is exploring a photographer’s personality. Find a photographer you like as a person, and that will make all the difference. Here are the top three things to consider during the selection process.
Be at Ease
Is your photographer approachable, friendly, and down-to-earth? Simply put, is she a people-person? On a day when you want to be surrounded by your family members and closest friends, you should also be comfortable with your photographer, usually the only hired vendor who stays with you the entire day. Whether you’re changing into the dress, sharing intimate first looks with your soon-to-be spouse, or leaving at the end of the night, your photographer should be someone you feel comfortable being yourself around. There's no need to have the extra worry of feeling estranged in front of the camera.
Be Your Best
Along with making you feel at ease, your photographer should encourage you to feel your best. Does he bring out your inner confidence and point out ways to make your beauty shine through? Choosing a photographer who is well-prepared and experienced with weddings also helps. You should be able to trust that your photographer is skilled enough that you don’t have to constantly suggest ideas to him or her. Your biggest focus should be on enjoying your momentous celebration and having fun.
Be Relational
Best of luck in choosing your photographer! At first, it may be overwhelming to narrow your choices down, but every photographer is unique. Exploring who they truly are can help in your decision.
